Oh dear, sorry no photos because little boy broke his arm yesterday. We have spent yesterday and today in hospital, waiting for his arm to be operated on, only to be told to go home and come back on Monday. This is because 2 years ago he broke the same arm and had plates put in and it now needs a specialist to fix it. what with me and my foot still out of action we look like a comedy act!! it doesn't rain but it pours. They say life only throws at you what you can cope with, well I am fed up with coping and would like something more cheerful to happen. if you left a comment for the giveaway which hardly anyone did because I'm sure no one bothers to read my dreary blog anymore, please bear with me or should that be bare with me, I haven't forgotten but life is complicated right now.
I have been busy but not sure why I have not been blogging, probably just because of children's summer holidays. I have also just had an operation on my foot and been in a lot of pain.
Just call me BIG foot! Luckily the swelling has gone down a lot but it is still sore. I cannot drive for SIX whole weeks, it is driving me crazy, i am normally a busy active person and I like to get out, and when you can usually just jump in the car and go somewhere and suddenly you can't it is very frustrating. I thought I would get loads done being indoors but I have not felt too great so am looking forward to getting better soon. The great thing about the operation is this lovely attractive shoe I was given.

Well onto a brighter note, the holidays went so quickly but we managed to do lots of fun things. We met up with friends we hadn't seen for a while, and all the children got on well. We went to zoos and little boy and I went to 'go ape' where you climb rope ladders and swing on zip wire's and balance on logsmany feet up in the air. Little boy has no fear and I thought I had no fear either but doing it was a different thing altogether but in the end I really enjoyed it, it was so much fun. As I have been away from my blog for a bit I thought I would do a give away, not sure what it will be yet but just leave me a comment and i will think of something yummy to give away!
I have been making a present for a friend of mine who has an old v w beetle. I made her a cushion for her birthday. She was very pleased so it made it all worth while. I love making presents for people when they love what you have made.
Then today I had a very productive day, well more productive than it has been lately, and I did spend a vast majority of the day sat on my backside watching the Wimbledon men's final. What a match it was fantastic, little son and I were glued to it. I soo wanted Nadal to win as I have always had a soft spot for Bjorn Borg and I did not want Federer to get 6 in a row. (sorry Roger) Anyway I managed to make a coffee cosie for my cafetiere in Daisy the campervan. I have been wanting to make one for ages and today thought, lousy weather, won't go out have a lovely Sunday indoors with the kids and chill doing nice things. So this is the cosie.
I am very pleased with it. Also made these, although they are meant to have buttercream filling. I made it but haven't sandwiched them together yet.
And lastly I saw this bag the other day and although it was only £2.50 I couldn't decide whether to buy it or not, then I got further along the road and saw someone with one and thought actually I do WANT one of them. I'm not usually influenced by other people but it was spotty so I really did have to have it.
I have so many bags to take out so I don't use plastic ones but when I go shopping I forget to take them. But I will try harder. Hope you all had a good weekend.
I have been busy doing 'stuff' to Daisy. After originally making white with greeny/blue spotty curtains for the camper I decided they were a bit 'bland' so bought some new spotty fabric and made new curtains which now have the wow factor. Well to me anyway.
Then I decided to redo the floor.

Then I redid the side panelling in spotty too.
Now I have the seats to buy new foam for and recover. Getting there slowly. I love her transformation. we had a lovely day out in her today too.
Oh dear, I am even more of a bad blogger, I don't know what's the matter with me but I think I've lost the plot!! I don't know where the time goes or what I have been doing but I haven't taken any photos. I haven't been sewing, I haven't been blogging, so what have I been doing? Well I'm not really sure, I think I've been in a time warp. Well we went out cycling at the weekend and it was great because we could put the bikes on the back of Daisy, but oh dear, what happened on the way home was we got a puncture. When a camper get's a puncture you sure know about it, I thought I'd ripped a hole in the side of her. But luckily I hadn't and I have NO idea or do I want to have any idea how to change a tyre, but two nice kind men came to my rescue and changed her tyre and we were back on the road again pretty quickly. Thank you kind men!!!
The other thing I have been doing is Knitting!not very well, but i saw some huge wooden knitting needles in a charity shop and thought they looked pretty cool, so I had to buy them and then I bought some wool and am trying to knit, just a scarf but we'll see how it turns out, I am not expecting miracles.

Thank you so much Lucy, I love it all, but the children have been stealing MY moomin sweeties. I love the girl it reminds me of a dress I had as a younglin, it had a girl on the front and on the back was the back of the girl. I called it my Susie dress, and one day I was out with my Dad and it ripped, so my Dad took me to a sewing machine to get it fixed. I loved that dress.
Now I must get on with my next lot of pif pressies.
